Dear Los Angeles County Department of Building and Safety, what laws and policies pertain to the posting of elevator usage permits in the City of Santa Monica? What assurance does the elevator-riding public have that any elevator in the City of Santa Monica (or anywhere within this county) has had a regularly scheduled maintenance and inspection appointment? Who is that reads the elevator permit besides me?
This one particular elevator at 1234 Fourth Street in the parking structure’s west side has a permit that is within weeks of being THREE YEARS expired. No joke.
It’s time to put a stop to this.

Shop at your own risk in Culver City. No elevator permit displayed in Macy’s elevator. Very Squeaky Ride!

And this is odd…the second elevator had an expired permit with the same “conveyance number”. Something is out of the ordinary.
Demand the truth!!

2201 Wilshire Blvd. Santa Monica Whole Foods Market. Expired January 2009 in one elevator. The other just doesn’t have a displayed permit at all. Where is the Whole Consciousness?

1610 Wilshire Blvd. Staples store in Santa Monica. No permit displayed. Elevator makes lots of frightening noises when in operation. Outrageous!!!
