Dear Los Angeles County Department of Building and Safety, what laws and policies pertain to the posting of elevator usage permits in the City of Santa Monica? What assurance does the elevator-riding public have that any elevator in the City of Santa Monica (or anywhere within this county) has had a regularly scheduled maintenance and inspection appointment? Who is that reads the elevator permit besides me?
This one particular elevator at 1234 Fourth Street in the parking structure’s west side has a permit that is within weeks of being THREE YEARS expired. No joke.
It’s time to put a stop to this.
